who I am
Hi. I’m Dillan.
I’m a nationally board-certified health and wellness coach and certified classroom teacher. My passion for sharing about wellness and resilience is inspired by my own life.
I first stepped onto my “wellness path” 30 years ago as a teenager overcoming a complicated relationship to food in high school and started working in health food stores to supplement my income as a young classroom teacher.
Then, in 2009, I decided to make wellness my career. I left a successful leadership role at a national non-profit based in Boston, Massachusetts and started my own practice as a health coach many years before wellness was trending like it is today. I consider myself an OG “influencer”.
With every major health and life transformation I’ve made (and there have been many) before and since then, I have worked very hard to overcome the greatest fears most people have that often hold them back in life.
My wellness lifestyle has always been the foundation that helped me do what often felt impossible.
Whether I’m working with an individual client or giving a keynote at Harvard, I’m the same person so my clients feel safe and comfortable with me. They say I’m “authentic and relatable and inspiring”. I also excel at building community among people of all identities, something I’ve naturally done since I was very young.
From my formal training as a teacher and coach and my own life experiences, I know all the challenges that exist in the human experience that plague our society. Issues around identity, belonging, purpose, wellness, self-acceptance and compassion for ourselves and others.
In my coaching and consulting, I give people the tools they need to be the change they crave or seek, either for themselves or their workplace or the world.
My two education degrees (BS and MEd.) make me a critical thinker and very effective educator and my certification as a wellness coach helps me be a much better listener. I attended The College of New Jersey, Lesley University and The Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
I’m a practicing Buddhist, a recovering perfectionist, an omnivore and I love coffee and chocolate chip cookies. I was born and raised in New Jersey, lived in New England for 11 years, New Jersey (a second time), Philly for a couple of years and I currently live in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Every new place has helped me evolve into a better version of myself.
I hope to inspire you on your own path toward health and success.
